Young Buck Files For Bankruptcy After IRS Raid

Young Buck, formerly of 50 Cent's rap group G-Unit, has declared Chapter 13 bankruptcy after the IRS raided his Tennessee home last month.

Sep 1, 2010

Rapper Young Buck has filed for Chapter 13 bankruptcy in the wake of an Internal Revenue Service raid on his Hendersonville, Tenn., home.

According to The Tennessean newspaper, a judge on Aug. 20 accepted Young Buck's proposal to dock his monthly pay from Cashville Records by $12,500 over 60 months for a total of $750,000.

Chapter 13 allows a five-year repayment plan permitting unsecured creditors to recover part of what they are owed.

The rapper, whose name is David Darnell Brown, could save a large portion of the $164,000 in property the IRS seized Aug. 3.

The IRS says he owes the agency more than $300,000. Additionally, his creditors include the state of New York, American Home Mortgage Service and Wells Fargo Auto Insurance.

Young Buck's albums include Straight Outta Cashville and Buck the World.

He made a mistake being on the cover of the local publication Nashville Scene talking about how he was still making money and eating well despite his feud with 50 Cent.

Can't be bragging when you know you owe the IRS!

rolleyes So you're gonna hate a genre of music just because you got a few lazy hip hop artists who don't want to pay their taxes? Yeah sure. That's a very "valid" reason then. confused

Read and understand. It's not 'just because' he doesn't pay tax. But, like i said, it's ANOTHER valid reason. Amongst loads of others.

I'm not a simpleton, I understood what you said. However, your comment alone just goes to show how much of an ignoramus you really. Even if it is another reason for you to dislike hip hop, it's surely a far cry from being "valid".

Young Schmuck would do well to develop financial responsibility and, most imporant, don't take the IRS' warning notices lightly. Many have done so and had their assets and belongings snatched.
