Word! ... man i was rocking this album fiercely when i just bought it back then.

I'm glad to see on youtube-comments the props they are getting for this project.

One solid comment in particular caught my attention at the youtube-clip of "You're a Winner" :

rhythmcdr (youtube-member ) : " ...a GREAT song on an under appreciated album; CAMEO deserved more credit for the brilliance of this album ...

Word Up garnered the kudos...this joint was the PHD dissertation to prove they belong with EWF, Isleys, MAZE & CON FUNK SHUN as the top great R&B bands ..."

For me it's one album-rollercoaster from Feel Me/Knights of the Soundtable/Alligator Woman/Style/She's Strange ...

... my fave series where they entered a new era of creativity.

oh, and i added an extra clip in my first post lurking

You're A Winner used to be one of my favorites off that album.

This Life is Not For Me and Slow Moving is tight too.

Exactly my funkface when i first heard it nod

They ripped the stage when i watched them performing "Slow Movin" during the second leg of their Word Up-Tour. Synths were all over the place with Kenni Hairston on lead.
