Ah no wonder:

According to what some commenter on YouTube said, the Imperials did it first.

To be honest I actually do prefer the Little Anthony version.

I think I prefer the Stylistics' version, but that's probably because I heard it first. I like both smile

Question: Is a major difference that of high tenor (Little Anthony) and falsetto (Stylistics)? I like Little Anthony's better. Also think it's pretty cool that he's still singing after all these years and did you notice Sammy Strain (second from left on the second pic) that left the OJays to return to performing with Little Anthony and the Imperials?

Harlepolis

This song ALWAYS pops in my mind whenever I think of Little Anthony/Imperials....

The version I have has a piano intro though. First time I heard it was in the billboards scene from Brother From Another Planet.

OMG, Harlepolis! This has GOT to be my favorite Little Anthony & The Imperials jam! You have a phenomenal memory (I barely have one!). I saw "Brother From Another Planet" but don't remember this from the movie. Tell you this, though, I remembered the lyrics well enough to sing along with this. Guess that says something; I'm just not sure what! wink
