Kanye West Writes Taylor Swift a Song

No more interruptions: When Kanye West and Taylor Swift meet again at the MTV VMA Awards Sept. 12, he has a special gift for the singer – hopefully, she will let him finish.

"I wrote a song for Taylor Swift that's so beautiful and I want her to have it," he said on his Twitter Saturday morning. "If she won't take it then I'll perform it for her."

Perhaps a sly nod to her pop anthem, "You're Not Sorry," which was released on her 2008 album Fearless?

Nearly a year since he first apologized to Swift, the hip-hop artist is still offering up I'm sorries, calling her "justa lil girl with dreams like the rest of us" on his Twitter.

"She deserves the apology more than anyone," he Tweeted, before thanking the creators of Twitter for making a public platform for expression. "We're both artist[s] and the media and managers are trying to get between us. Everyone wants to capitalize off this [in] some way."

On a related note: I think Kanye's twitter has been hacked. This is hysterical stuff that's been dripping since God knows when. And it doesn't necessarily sound like Kanye. If it has been hacked - HA!

The latest tweet? "I'm sorry Taylor"

The true measure of K's contrition will be if he gives the song to her without any financial strings or if he releases it himself and gives ALL the revenues to Taylor or a charity of her choice.

I agree with Ernest that the tweets don't exactly sound like Kanye. Maybe he's hired a PR firm to try to salvage his sorry ass public image.

Whoever said it, I agree; the ego is overdone.

i dont believe in any beefs today, everything is staged and has a "motive" even his deal of giving away a song a week, honestly i dont believe most of what any artist says especially in this era of "artist"

Lol, dude really doesn't need to go this far. If a 20 yr old can't handle some guy coming on stage and pointing out that her already fake/meaningless award was given to the wrong person (and therefore the rightful winner shouldn't have won video of the year later on lol duh MTV) she needs help.

I like him better when he's cocky and arrogant, anyway, it's much more interesting. Especially when it results in material like this:

(Yeah sped up, fucking youtube)

For how long does he got to go around kissing this girls ass? No one gave two shits about her before he hurt her feelings. She ought to be grateful anyone is paying attention to her boring music career. Either accept his apology or tell him to fuck off. Just be done with it already.

If one is respectful toward others, one does not have to come up with clever ways 2 apologize to those one has offended. Kanye just needs 2 check his ego at the door and keep his mouth shut. He's not as great as he thinks he is and his talent is rapping, not singing arias. In a couple of years, he'll be history like the other so-called "greats" who came b4 him.

Hungry? Just look in the mirror and get fed up.

Looks like Taylor is turning the tables on Kanye.

Swift to sing about West debacle this year at VMAs

Taylor SwiftAP – FILE - In this Aug. 27, 2010 file photo, Taylor Swift arrives for the premiere of her new video, 'Mine,' …
  • By NEKESA MUMBI MOODY, AP Music Writer Nekesa Mumbi Moody, Ap Music Writer Sat Sep 11, 7:41 pm ET

NEW YORK – Be warned, Kanye: Taylor Swift has written a song about you, and she's singing it at Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards.

The country superstar's win for best female video last year was marred when Kanye West got on stage and said it should have gone to Beyonce.

Swift wrote a song about the experience earlier this year, and a source familiar with the show said Saturday the 20-year-old will sing the new song at the VMAs, which will be aired live on MTV. The source did not want to be identified because of the sensitivity of the matter.

The song is on Swift's upcoming album "Speak Now," due out in October. The source said Swift performed it during a secret rehearsal in Los Angeles for the VMAs on Friday.

Though the West-Swift moment only lasted but a few minutes, it has endured for what seems to be a lifetime. It became a cultural watershed moment and gave West the most intense backlash of his career, despite an apology delivered later.

He dropped out of the spotlight, and last week on Twitter, said that he endured death wishes, had to cancel a tour and let go of employees. He again apologized to Swift and said he wrote a song for her and hoped she would sing it — and if not, he would perform it for her.

But instead, Swift will be singing her own song. The Grammy-winner is known for writing intensely personal songs, and skewering a few former boyfriends along the way.

After initially expressing her hurt, Swift has avoided addressing the matter.

West will also be a performer at the awards show; both are nominees. It's not clear what song he will sing.

Though there was anticipation of possible fireworks related to last year with West's performance, Swift's song all but guarantees it.
