What happened to World Party?

I dusted off World Party's "Goodbye Jumbo" CD the other day, and man is it sounding good. I always thought the songs on here had a Prince feel.

Anyway, does anyone know what happened to this guy? I never really heard anything from him after this CD came out. Any info would be highly appreciated.

Someone must have put the message in the box, put the box into the car and drove the car around the world.

Man, I was such a fan of "Private Revolution" (which featured the debut of Sinead O'Connor!) and "Goodbye Jumbo". Karl Wallinger was never shy in interviews about his Prince influences, though he also was obviously really big on Dylan and Lennon too.

The "Thank You World" e.p. is another good World Party release, and I think a year or two ago, all the WP albums were re-released with bonus tracks and new liner notes. Happy hunting...
