The Supremes saga is strange. It's almost like the powers that be have erased the post-Diana Supremes from history. The handful of hits they managed inspite of little to no support from their label don't get any airplay in the US. This was Jean't last single with the group. Great tune written by Stevie Wonder.
Jean put out an autobiographical DVD a few years back. Anyone seen it?

That would be Syreeta Wright. Berry Gordy at the last minute wanted to replace Diana with Syreeta though the Supremes, including Diana, had introduced Jean as the new member. Mary Wilson said Berry called her on the phone to talk about Syreeta replacing her, Mary refused and Berry threatened to "wash his hands" off the group. In other words, little promotion was put behind the Supremes' material though they did good during the Terrell era.
