You know when a singer starts singing at the back of the house and works her way to the stage that she's bad - and she better be when she's paying tribute to La Reina Celia Cruz! Olga Tañon works this - and she wasn't alone: La India, Albita, Arturo Sandoval, Sheila E., Marc Antony (yes, his wife was in tow, but she knew better than to get anywhere near THAT stage) - y las otras negras que tienen tumbao, Patti LaBelle and Gloria Gaynor! This was part of a concert filmed live for Telemundo in honor of Celia in Miami, March 2003. Celia passed away 4 months later after fighting cancer; she was 77.

You also have to check out Celia's original music video for La Negra Tiene Tumbao. You just have to.

I made the mistake of listening to it right before and right after I played "It Ain't Over"

20Ten is missing the high energy stuff...I think that's why I'm having trouble getting into it.

Although now after several listens I'm enjoying Sticky Like Glue, Future Soul Song, Compassion,

Lavaux, and Sea of Everything....and the Purple Yoda song is worth a few kicks

And.... this is the way I feel about it today : ) In a few weeks when I listen again, who knows.
