This was a great lineup that year. Christine McVie & Bob Seger presenting.

Even though I'm sick of the generic "Oh wow, ME?!" routine, it seems that she was genuinely surprised that she won

She seemed genuinely stunned.

How about Anita Baker winning what I believe is her 1st Grammy in 1987. Again, incredible competiton in this category as well.

Everytime I watch a clip of 'Nita winning an award, I can't help but to be reminded by what she said to Miki Howard when she won her Soultrain award

what a great song from a great year. 83 is my birth year and very special to me, so I got chills from seeing all those artists, and of course knowing mj is part of that group

There are several ways to take that comment. Maybe Anita was saying that Miki would never cross over and be considered a Grammy contender, take this Soul Train Award and cherish it. Who knows.
