I dont think there any unlikable songs on Faith. One of the best pop albums ever made.
Jesus to a Child was an incredible song too.
We're rooting for you George!

This song makes me think of a funeral for some reason which is why I grew to hate it until the Live In London dvd version which is sooooo much better to me.

The song has a strong gospel influence. I kept thinking hearing it that while he was working on the song he kept hearing Jackie, Marvin, Smokey, Aretha and Al and figured "how can I be able to do this with my voice?" And this was the closest he got. It worked since some soul singers later COVERED it.

it's a good song, and sounds so good in the middle of the night when you're alone

This is my favorite version "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

This and "Father Figure" are my favorite GM songs. They both are beautifully sung and the videos are good as well.

SO true. I'm admittedly not much of a fan, but credit where credit is due....."Faith" is a MONOLITH of pop...and George's fall.....and the loss of his musical abilities in the last decade or so is tragic.
He's a rare talent & I hope he gets things sorted. Funk Is It's Own Reward

Mine too!
And speaking of live versions, I am also crazy for the Parkison Show performances of Different Corner & Outside. "what's that book where they're all behind the wardrobe?"

I so love this song, the lyrics are...just wow! He's definitely a great song writer (I'm assuming he writes his music). I remember long after him coming out, so to speak, I listened to Freedom more closely and loved it so much more. He really sings from the heart.

He does
The same man who wrote stuff like Wham! Rap and Wake Me Up Before You Go Go also wrote Careless Whisper, A Different Corner, Through, Cowboys and Angels, Someone To Save, and Older
the man is truly a genius "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

His most beautiful and heartfelt ballad, I loved it to death when it came out, I felt his pain. I was all of 11. What I love is the way he sings it with such conviction. So what are u going 2 do? R u just gonna sit there and watch? I'm not gonna stop until the war is over. Its gonna take a long time

Love this song, coincedently I just downloaded the song and put it on my ipod last week after re-discovering it and finding out how really good it is. Some people think I'm kinda cute
But that don't compute when it comes 2 Y-O-U.
