Harle, I don't think Doris worked with Billy Wilder.

Ok ok okaaaaay *rubbing my fuckin' temple*
Since you're here though would you mind telling whats the title of the movie she did(I think in 49) where she played a singer, but her husband(who happens to be her rival, I think) wanted her to quit singing once they get married?
Its a Star Is Born-ish kinda flick, but she acted her tail off in it, I watched it in TCM couple of months ago when I was on my sick leave.

I think you mean Love Me or Leave with James Cagney as her husband. It was based on the life story of a singer named Ruth Ettinger.

I can't say I'm a dedicated Doris Day film fan ( "Young At Heart", being my favorite film) but the woman could sing.
This movie is a trip . . .

I LOVE Kim Novak!
Ms Trina, Doris Day had an affair with Louis Jourdan when they made Julie

That was the film, right? Bugs Bunny made a cameo too if I'm not mistaken

I'm not surprised girl, I bet 99.5999 of those stars messed around on the set. I'm not a fan of Jourdan's, he's always came a pompous ass. Reading the behind the scenes of the movie the V.I.P.'s in Vanity Fair expose some years ago confirmed my suspicions.

Will you all allow me to be a cine-geek for a second? :nerd:
Day is not an Oscar winner, the writers of the songs win Oscars...
However, there is a Facebook campaign to get Day an honorary Oscar. Hopefully one day they will do it.

This shit's just getting outta hand and just one more comment gonna bring us to blows.
Louis was wonderful in Gigi, off da chain in VIPs, and let's not the forget the cinematic brilliance that was Swamp Thing.

She does have EXCELLENT taste in films.
Give her a pile of Judy Garland, Barbara Striesand, Doris Day, Barbara Stanswick, Ava Gardner, and her favorite musicals, she's set for the day
