Diddy Denies Doing Former Artists Dirty...

[img:$uid]http://i967.photobucket.com/albums/ae154/backupbabybugz718/diddy-cover-reveal-big.jpg[/img:$uid]

There’s an off perception that needs to be addressed about me that I have ever robbed somebody or mistreated somebody. Or tried to be ruthless or whatever in this game. Like, all this year I’ve heard people say, “Where’s Carl Thomas, where’s Black Rob, where’s G.Dep? Where are these artists?” And for some reason they go ahead and equate that, cause those artists aren’t with me, that I’ve done something wrong or malicious or conniving. It’s something that I do have a problem with because they don’t have no proof that I’ve ever done nothing like that.

Does this really bother you, because you’ve talked about this before.

It’s a misconception. Especially someone who’s been brought up like me. I’ve been brought up to work hard for mine and never take from nobody. And to always try and help people. But people don’t understand this game that were in. You have a short life expectancy. It’s rare to a me, to be a Jay-Z, an LL, a Nas. That shit is a rarity. That’s not even one percent of the rappers. If you look at any artists that were on Ruff Ryders, where they at? If you look at any artist that was on Def Jam at the time we started, where they at? If you look at any artist that was on Roc-A-Fella, Jive, where they at? It’s not like anything was wrong with them. It’s just that you have a four, five-year average in this game. That’s just something I wanted to address.

Actually they are all photoshopped, no one was together for this shoot, saw footage of Cassie's photoshoot and none of these artists were in the building let alone the room. Not really sure of her connection musically to him, she has new management and label is actually not even in this country most of the time, as for the rest who knows the connection, i mean diddy is just as tired as Jay at this point with there 40 and over age trying to be kids still.

Which makes her inclusion on the cover even more ridiculous.

i think the whole cover is a joke, looks like diddy "bought it" which im sure he did, but then again its VIBE the magazine that should have stayed buried, and take Rolling Stone with it

Vibe Magazine Founder Quincy Jones sold out a long time ago. That magazine should've stay dead after that infamous cover with The Dream & his then-wife.

People love to hate Diddy. But he is a damned smart business man. He and Russel Simmons have had longevity that Hip Hop gave them and then they parlayed that sucesss onto other things. I always have been a HUGE Puff Daddy fan. Has he become arrogant? Hell yes. If I follow his personal life I end up liking less and less of what I see but this guy is very smart and I would bet that he will be around successfully in one form or another for a long time to come.

People blame Puffy for issues ranging from Tupac getting shot, to Biggie's death, to ruining R&B , to watering down Hip Hop...some of these allegations about him are mind boggling so STICKING WITH THE TITLE OF THE THREAD he's right, rappers have a shorter lifespan than a hooker on the streets. People just need to leave that man alone. He is obviously doing something right with Janelle Monae. She is being promoted lovely she has worldwide recognition and this came BEFORE Prince decided to let her in on his lil BET tribute.

The word on the streets is that Black Rob had personal problems (was homeless or something) before Diddy put him on, and he was a "risk" to begin with. Carl Thomas doesn't need Diddy when he has his own biological brother to help finance any remaining career endeavors that he has.

I just try not to look at his arrogance, and just try to keep focused on his life's journey in terms of success. Kinda the same way I do with Prince. I hate both of their personal lives / personna, and personally I wouldn't want to be friends with either of them.

Although I'm your biggest fan...I'm also your biggest critic. Can you deal with that?

Russell has Diddy by age (been in the business longer, helped to bring Hip Hop to THE MASSES) but he does not necessarily have him in regards to success. Russell is 52 years old, Diddy is 40. Let's see where Diddy is when he's 52.

Now if anyone exploited folks it was Russell. Russell got DMC all fugged up psychologically from being exploited by being the "writer" for RunDMCs material and getting limited earnings and credit while Russell walked away with a boat load of cash. DMC at the point that he claims that he's lost his rapping voice permanently. I think it's psychological trauma due to the craziness of the business. Some can argue that Russell used Rick Rubens for his networking connections.

But what really pisses me off the most about Russell is his REFUSAL to acknowledge that the Hip Hop industry should share a part in being responsible about the constant negativity, violence, degradation of women, materialism in it's music. The music is saturated with NOTHING but that...and Russell still sitting there saying "well, it's not the hip hop industry's fault, it's not the artists fault". The folks who line their pockets with the earnings derived from such lyrics are in fact very responsible for at least doing "their part" to ensure that there is more balance coming from their labels. Russell will never admit to this cause his pockets continue to be lined, and he could care less that our youth dont have one damned positive hip hop song to sing. Russell annoys the crap out of me. See you touched a sore spot when you mentioned Russell being a better "hustler" because that's all he really is a damned "hustler".

I don't hate on him. I just hate his music as a solo artist. I always felt he was a

good business man and on occasion he would find talent like Faith Evans. At the

same time i can understand why he rubs people the wrong way and he has no

one to blame but himself for it.

Professor Griff would agree! nod

Russell "Hustla" Simmions would do anything for money. And don't overlook some of the damage that Lyor Cohen had done during his time at the Def Jam front office. Remember, Rick Rubin ended up leaving the label more for what Lyor was doing than Russell.
