Is the new edition a hardback? Does anyone have scans of it?

Not the cover like shown on Amazon but actual picture of it?

As for my thoughts on DTD:

I agree with dag and others above. Few "coffee table books",

I'd actually put on my coffee table - but this one

I did for several years - before I got a new HUGE book for my coffee table this

past year. (Hint: Still an MJ book.) I actually read "When Babies Smile"

in forensics for my event in high school, which was poetry, along with

another poem by another author - and I would credit it to

"M. Jackson" - just because the other author was J. Doe and

didn't know his first name and it flowed better. Anyway, I'd

usually get really high marks and a lot of judges would

put on my feedback forms - "I love Michael Jackson. Great poem."

Thinking about this and back to what some of ya'll said on our

last thread - it has me wondering if A LOT of people were

afraid to publicly embrace MJ because of how wicked and

cruel haters were to us fans. However, when we passed,

for a brief while, the haters had to eat their words. And

the few that still ranted on - looked like the ugly people

they truly are. Sadly, I wish I could have enjoyed that

moment but I didn't. I was too shocked it was actually

happen for it to set in. Today, I get sweet comments

when I wear one of my many MJ shirts. "I love your shirt."

"Where did you get it? I want it" "My kids are big fans!"

And as much as I enjoy it, I know a lot of that is a result because

MJ passed away - suddenly it became more acceptable to like him.

Still though, I'd throw it all away and go back to being made fun of

sometimes for wearing his t-shirts if he could somehow come back.

But since I don't want to end this on a sad note..I will say...there

are times when I feel like sad or angry about something in my life

or about Michael's passing, but I believe things will somehow be

okay - because that is something MJ taught with his views and in songs

like "Keep The Faith," and "WBSS" - Things will always always be okay

- just gotta believe it.

Thriller! Spike Lee honors the King of Pop again

On Sunday, the filmmaker hosts his second annual "Brooklyn Loves Michael Jackson" party.

Michael Jackson still reigns as the King of Pop.

Thousands will gather in Prospect Park on Sunday at what would have been the musician’s 52nd birthday for the second-annual “Brooklyn Loves Michael Jackson” celebration.

“I’m looking forward to everyone from all corners of the world coming together to honor, pay respect and love the life of Michael Joseph Jackson,” said filmmaker and one-time Fort Greene resident Spike Lee, who worked with Jackson on his video, “They Don’t Care About Us,” and is organizing the celebration for the second year.

Last year, fans packed the park to pay tribute to the man behind such hits as “Billie Jean,” “Thriller” and “Beat It,” who died last summer, sporting Thriller outfits, white gloves and digging out their Michael Jackson T-shirts.

Expect more of the same during the five-hour party, where DJ Spinna will play the pop genius’s innumerable hits.

“It’s going to be bigger and better this year,” said Lee, who will be documenting this year’s celebration with his production company, 40 Acres And A Mule. “People are going to come from all over the world.”

And lucky for you, it’s right here in your backyard.

Brooklyn Loves Michael Jackson celebration at Prospect Park’s Nethermead [enter at 16th Street and Prospect Park Southwest, (718) 965-8951], Aug. 29 from noon-5 pm. Free. For info, visit www.prospectpark.org.

I bought this is it the other day and unlike the Bucharest shows, it really makes me sad. He just doesn't look well to me, he looks unhealthy and frail. I still can't believe he weighed 136 when he supposedly usually weighed about 120. He didn't come close to filling out the clothes. Because the entire show was centered around him it just makes the other people look like oppurtunists because you know they had to know he wasn't really up to the shows. Not that he couldn't have done it, but that he couldn't have done it well. I'm sure the fans would have loved whatever he did though. I'm glad it's taped and filmed because we'll never get to see him again but it's very bittersweet for me.

One of the first things I wanted to do was get a MJ shirt made after he passed. I never did and in my daze after he was gone I watched the world just go on and on as if nothing happened. I remember when George Harrison died, white journalist had sentiments like "can't we have some peace for one day? George Harrison died". No such sentiments were given for Michael in those early days, in fact the same local weekly made light of his death and called him "crazybrains" which of course really pissed me off but I expect no different of the white media. However, after 3 days of walking around wondering how he would be remembered or respected in death, I stumbled upon a wonderful sound. The music of thriller, heard it before I saw where it was coming from. I walked to the source and saw thousands of people white, black, asian, hispanic all moonwalking in unison and I smiled, there was the answer to my question of how he'd be remembered. I didn't join in but just watched for a good while and thought of how proud Mike would be if he could just see everday common folk, not the journalist, the money men, the fanatics, just folks doing this in his memory in an uptight town like Seattle.

I think that "I Can't Help It" is a song that deserved some spin on tours MJ had done throughout the 1980s and 1990s. Its such a beautiful work.

If given the choice to rank the following songs, which would you rank where and why?

1a) I Can't Help It

1b) Human Nature

2)Lady in My Life

3) Butterflies

4)Speechless

5)You are not alone

6)Liberian Girl

I group these songs together moreso for them being extremely standout ballads/slow jams from his albums. I couldnt think of any ballads from Dangerous, but someone can contribue an outtake to this list as well.

Liberian Girl

Human Nature

Lady In My Life

Butterflies

I Cant Help It

YANA

Speechless

Why does Fabolous' jacket remind me of the jacket MJ was supposed to wear for Billie Jean on the This Is It tour?

Michael wasn't neither unhealthy nor frail. You're listening too much to Joe Jackson B.S..

His autopsy claims he weighed 136 pounds so, unless you have been brainwashed by Leo Rowe and Joe, you have to believe it. He was up to the shows and the only oportunistic people are the ones who were not in the shows yet wanted to be.

That whole "he was frail, weak and uncapable" argument is getting tiring. By now, most know it's nothing but made up shit used in hopes to create a lawsuit against AEG (smells like payday). It's already hard to listen to vultures and vampires like Joe, Oxman and Rowe saying it...but having fans doing the same is simply unbearable.

Darn, Dr. Murray's trial was moved again until January 4th.

His legal team wants to re-test some of the fluids to determine the level of Propofol found in Michael's body.

This could go on forever.

I remember watching This Is It and my friend was like "Omg he's so thin. He looks so sick." Then I had to remind her that the man was 50 years old. After a certain point in your life you aren't able to rock the skinny look anymore. (Maybe some people can, but I'm sure they are far and few in between.) When you are older, some meat on your bones is very good for you. It gives you a much healthier look. Michael rocked that weight a whole lot better when he was in his late teens/early 20s than later imho.

Even with all that, I still felt that he looked way better for those concerts than he did during the MSG shows/Invincible era. He kinda looked as if he had lost his neck. Kinda like some of his other brothers.

Honestly the fact that it keeps on getting delayed over and over just comes across as suspicious to me. It really should not be taking this long.

The media is not even talking about this at all except TMZ, go figure. confused

Why is TMZ the first to get all the details but no else can get it.

Its disgusting to see this no no no! What happened to innocent until proven guilty.

http://www.tmz.com/2010/08/23/dr-murray-taunted-murderer-murderer-michael-jackson-los-angeles-courtroom-video-footage/

Dr. Murray Taunted -- 'Mu...urderer!'

Dr. Conrad Murray was at the receiving end of a brutal verbal attack earlier today -- as several enraged MJ supporters called him a "murderer" as he left an L.A. courthouse ... with a police escort.

As we previously reported, Murray's legal team scored a minor victory today -- as the judge granted their request to get fluid samples from Michael Jackson as part of their defense in his involuntary manslaughter trial.

but at the same time, it's so obvious that he lied to the ambulance about what he put into him until the propofol was discovered and things like that right? I think there is just so much impatience that is coming with this, but I'm trying to let go and not think about him cause there may not even be justice and no end result is going to come out of this, michael is gone.
