There are many more groups out there that are better than BIIM. They are ok, though.

to millwall: I didn't realise the Beatles, Bon Jovi and Metallica were soul/r&b groups
to seeingvoices: Do u really consider Boyz-II-Men better than the Beatles, Earth Wind and Fire or Metallica?
Personally I wouldn't rank them that high... they had cool harmonies and a few good singles (although I can't really name any song that I liked by them other than 'End Of The Road', 'Motownphilly' and 'In The Still Of The Night' but they were boring as hell. Boyz II Men are okay for what they did in their brief period. They shouldn't even be mentioned in the same breath with the Whispers or O'Jays. That would be a brutal ass whupping for Boyz II Men. I'll take it a step further. Some of the vocal groups a step below these guys like the Moments would eat Boyz II Men for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Don't laugh at my funk

I know the O'jays, it's all personal preference.....
The starter of thread should not be laughed at because of his/her musical preference especially when the band he posted is not bubble gum, I have never seen a more harmonic band better than Boyz II Men...angelic voices.

VASTLY overrated group. They werent event the best of their era (the 90's) (groups like Tony Toni Tone, Mint Condition and Jodeci destroy these fools)

I definitely wouldn't underrate the talent of Boyz II Men but I would have to say that calling the "bestest eva" is reaching, especially as folk say, you compare them to the David Ruffin led Temptations, or the Jacksons, or New Edition, or even Jodeci.
....and then since you said ever, not to leave out the female groups, I would think En Vogue ranks above BIIM too. | |
