George and the O'Jays should be interesting too.

The Fatboys weren't Unheard. They were one of the biggest rap acts of their time. It's time they change the theme of this show. Space for sale...

Only successful for a short period. They didn't achieve near the success rap acts like Run DMC, Beastie Boys, or LLCoolJ did. The FatBoys were done after the fluke hit Wipeout. Don't laugh at my funk

Looking forward to the Heatwave episode.

Uhh, they had more his than Wipeout and even stared in movies. They were very mainstream. the whole point of Unsung were acts that had the talent to become mainstream artist but weren't able to achieve success due to some Behind the Scene like drama.
The Fatboys just overstayed their pop welcome and crawled back into irrelevance. Listing Run, Beastie and LL is like expecting every pop act to achieve Madge, Prince and MJ levels of success. Not gonna happen. Space for sale...

George Clinton and the O'Jays are legend. Their asses are hardly Unsung "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

Didn't even see their names. This cable network needs to be shot off the airwaves. Mainly for their CEO and her horrible talk show but for screwing up what used to be a good concept for this show. Space for sale...

I've enjoyed the "Unsung" series, but I hardly think Teddy, George or the OJays belong in that category. Some of the others truly are/were good at what they do and didn't get the recognition they deserved. Never trust anything spoken in the presence of an erection.

They couldn't do The Sylvers? Leroy Burgess? Steve Arrington? "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

Wow they surprised me with The Fat Boys. That should make for a very interesting Unsung episode. Isn't only 1of them alive?

That'swhat i'm saying and people here are complaning about the Fat Boys. I feel they belong on the show more so than George Clinton! I think they are the essence of what that show is truly about.

Shucks, I'm still waiting on an episode featuring Kid n' Play.
I don't see how George Clinton is unsung but I can see a little of why the O'Jays are probably considered as such. They were R&B legends yes, but did they hit the mainstream? Isn't that what the show is about, the artists who deserved widespread international fame but didn't? I'm starting to get confused on what this show is really about. I always thought it was about the artists who had a few hits but then you didn't hear from them anymore. I think I would have expected them to do an episode on the Gap Band before the O'Jays though IMO.

Even if they aren't really unsung I'm interested in seeing their stories anyway. I hope some young folks are watching too cause some of these folks are certainly UNSUNG to them.
I think the concept isn't so much the unsung part, but the why did they walk away right before hitting the big time.
I'm not sure the OJays qualify, but I guess they're gonna talk about Teddy's accident.
Totally interested in seeing the Mikki Howard one. She has an amazing voice. I actually went to a Rahsaan Patterson show a few years ago and she was in the audience, he invited her up to sing.. a little thicker now (aren't we all) but she could still blow. Oh stop, I already acknowledged I didn't look at the full list nor notice the others names. I just saw Fatboys and said, "what"?
And within the genre the Fat Boys were in, they were tops. Plus, they were tops in the pop world too. So, if this show is about artist who didn't get the mainstream success, how the hell does an act that had numerous pop hits, movie success and didn't they also have a cartoon? How the hell is that not success. Now, if you wanna talk tragic stories cause two of them died, well, re-name the show and announce a new theme.

Musical Youth? Hell, all I remember from them is "Pass The Dutchie" and their guest appearance on Donna Summer's "Unconditional Love". Unless they had a lot of underground stuff, how you gonna do an hour episode on those two songs? Andy is a four letter word.

That's the only one on the list I'd be interested in seeing. I've heard so much about folks like George Clinton and The O'Jays throughout the years till I'm tired of hearing about them. And as for folks like Miki Howard, folks like that are the last people I'd be interested in hearing about unless they were really strung out on drugs or living some kind of wild lifestyle or something which I doubt because it sure doesn't show in their conservative ass music. Andy is a four letter word.

One of the members of Musical Youth died years ago. For anything, the Unsung producers will definitely have the "price of fame" angle within the story.
