Shalamar Question:

Love Shalamar (why in the world did Howard Hewitt say Jody can't sing??? She clearly can!)

But my main question is did Jeffrey Daniel acutally sing? Not tryin' to take anything away from his talent. . clearly he was an innovator and taught MJ to moonwalk. BUt did he do vocals too or just dance?

Yeah he sung a little bit, even live. There's a clip of Shalamar in concert circa 1980 performing "I Owe You One" and Jeffery does sing.

Saw them live back in the days, he was singing...

"open your heart, open your mind
A train is leaving all day..."

I don't think he would have been in the group if he couldn't sing. Although maybe not as strong as Howard.

Howard, Jeffrey and Jody were on serious ego trips anyway, so that's probably why Howard said she couldn't sing. Everyone in the group wanted to be in the spotlight. At least they all managed to do well after the group broke up.

Prince esta muerto...

What part are you considering the "bridge"?

The "Just remember, love is emotion...... Go for it... Everybody needs somebody to love" part?

If so, I'd call that more of a pre-chorus than a bridge.

Or do you mean the "Make that move..... make that move" part right before the piano break where it's just Jody and a guy singing???

BUt how do you know that's Jeffrey anyway? It
