I can't remember any titles, but they were all 1980's top-40 hits similar to the newer "Totally Hits" and "Now" CD's.

I remember buying a couple tapes in the early 80's before MJ and Prince stole the show.

I just picked up a 1976 "Dance Machine" (Vinyl) and it has a weird 70s version of Sex Machine and all the classics from the day.

Where else can you find such cool compilations from the 70s?

I remember all the shlocky TV commercials for K-Tel records. lol

Is K-Tel the company that had that commercial for some album featuring the "oh so smooth" guy playing the album for a chick and then says to his little brother who wants to listen to it or whatever "No, little brotha, you got to get one of your OWN!"?

heh

Now I'm thinking about vintage audio equipment. I remember something called Take a Tape (I think that was the name of it). It was a portable 8-track player. (Are there any Prince 8-tracks out there?) The 8-track tape stuck out the side and there was a handle on top.

Anybody remember this?
