Old news. But nonetheless, Georgio is one of the most namechecked Prince-clones ever in the org.

Yeah, I know it's old. I remember this from when I was growing up, hence the reason I put it on here. And I know he's on here for "Tina Cherry" too.

I think bboy originally posted the video like two years ago. I think that's why Tony said "old news". lol But thanks for posting it again lol I like the song. This and "Bedrock" was the only two songs I knew from him. I thought this was Prince's brother originally. lol

He made another song? lol

I remembered he was signed to Motown at the time. Guess Motown was trying to compete with Warner Bros (Rockwell was kinda similar) at the time. Failed twice. lol

I was referring to the fact that there has been many threads in the past where Georgio is always mention where we think of other artists that did their own take of Prince's classic MPLS sound. cool

Laugh now, but the first time I heard THIS^ lost r&b slow jam in 1989, I thought Prince rehired Wendy & Lisa. No, I'm not kidding!!! Remember, Lisa has done co-lead & backing vocals on Prince recordings before.

No wonder Berry Gordy had no other choice but to sell Motown. If losing money for making music videos for Rick James & DeBarge weren't bad enough, Berry was really losing money investing in anyone that can play OR fake the MPLS sound.

Vanity, Brown Mark, Georgio,..........damn, that 3 strikes in the row! disbelief lol

Did you guys know that Georgio almost became a Prince protege?

In 1985,his demo tape was sent to Paisley Park and Prince wanted to sign him.But according to Georgio, they offered him a raw deal.He had a bunch of songs already wrote and recorded, but "Prince and BrownMark were gonna take all the credit for writing and producing my album",says Georgio."Now I understand how Prince's thing works. He finds people who would do anything to become a star.I'm not one of those people".

hmmm

Hmm interesting. But I can see the connection. I'm glad he didn't fall for it if that's the real case.

What happen to him? He looks more like Paula Abdul than Prince......

eye will ALWAYS think of prince like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. eye mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that prince wasn't of this earth, eye would not have been that surprised. R.I.P. prince

When I got a bunch of someone's old records from the eighties, it had Georgio's schitt in there for sure! I am trying to remember which song she said they used to mix blend into "Bizarre Love Triangle" lurking
