Here's an article where several of the folks involved in creating the album discuss it. There are not too many comments from Lauryn.

Thanks for the link. Interesting read.

Just wanted to add that Lauryn was with Wyclef before his wife. Or you can think of it as Lauryn, then Marie, then Lauryn, and wifed Marie because she didn't have a career to exploit. She could be the traditional stay at home wife.

I was playing Janelle's album a week or two ago and I noticed one of the songs, I believe it's "Neon Valley Street" and the whole flow from the music to Janelle's voice to the guitar riff sounded JUST like "The X Factor".

I've been loving this album for like 10 years now. Still fresh on each listen. It's amazing how it never grew old.

One of my favorite cut was I Used To Love Him (duet with Mary J. Blige) early on and it still is! I would sing that song around my house like I'm this scorned woman even though I was just a teenager in high school razz Both Lauryn and Mary did their thing.

Anyone else digs the song The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill like I do? Simply soulful. Takes you back to the church scene in Sister Act 2 where she was singing with her homegirl.

To Zion, Final Hour, Ex-Factor, Doo Wop (That Thing), Lost Ones, Nothing Even Matters, I like all of these. In fact, I can't even say I don't like the rest. I just like the songs in bold better.

*Oh, I got a question to everyone here who owns the album. What is the hidden track? The version I have, they put Tell Him. I heard the US version has Sweetest Thing.

I believe that you are correct In the U.S. "Sweetest Thing (Mahogany Mix)" was the bonus track and in the rest of the world it was "Tell Him." Both versions had "Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You" as the first bonus track.

Thanks for answering! Yeah I have Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You on my version too. "Conspiracy, Conspiracy, Wa..." The best cover that I've ever heard. Hers sounds like a sincere love letter from a shy yet brave girl. You'd get what I mean when you compare it with the Morten Harket's version, another popular cover. His is like, um, he's at a party enjoying himself and tryin to holla at a girl LOL

Ok, Needless to say i am VERY LATE. On listening to this cd even though i have had all the Fugees records and loved them, As well as most of Wyclef's.

This cd had a lot of hype and i knew it was going to live up to it, But man i didn't know this cd would have such an impact on me! i was only 8 years old when this cd came out but even with that the cd is only a little over a decade old. But man this cd has had a such an impact on me almost like the first time i heard Song' In The Key Of Life, Highway 61 Revisited, Sign ''O'' The Times, Born To Run, Sgt.Peppers etc.

And i know that's crazy saying it was like listening to those albums for the first time, But this cd is beautiful! This girl can sing, Mc & tell a story without taking one pause she is a true talent. Every song is great even the cover is fantastic! I Am just speechless this album is on my repeat for me like crazy. To bad she only released one album=[ but 1 masterpiece is better then 5 good cd's or 7 average cd's

Anyone else absolutely love this cd?

Glad you have finally found this cd and you now know how great it is. I love this cd. In fact, it's probably in my top 10. I love every song and the lyrics are amazing. I still listen to it often. Greatness never gets stale.
