You CAN'T accept death, BUT you have to learn to live with it and think positive that he's doing alright in the other side of the world. I don't believe the hoax.

*sigh...well said Timmy.

I know I can't accept death. I'll never be fully over this tragedy. I've just learned to cope with it...I used to cry everyday. Lately, I've seemed to run out of tears to do that. But they still do fall...there are songs I can't listen to anymore because I can't stop crying when I hear them. Songs I used to enjoy before hand...

I still cannot talk about Michael in the past tense....I still talk about him in the present tense. I don't care if that sounds crazy, I still do. He lives in my heart... I know that he's in a better place now. I know he's no longer hurting, or worrying about tabloids, or opinion, or speculation. And I'm happy for him...he may no longer hurting...we are tho...because we are left behind.

And no, I don't believe in the hoax.

For me it's gotten better, but like the rest of you I think about him everyday. When it first happened I was mainly shocked and angry. Shocked because, well, hate to be blasphemous but saying Michael died is a little like saying God died or the sun fell out the sky. Angry because of what he was put through for being so successful (and I don't doubt that is the reason). I also felt guilty because I wasn't always the most faithful fan although I always was adamantly on his side. I guess the people who say he's alive are like the Elvis fans or the James Dean or Tupac fans but it reminds me even more of how I used to fantasize that my father was still alive when I was 9. It made the pain a little more bearable and I would dream of him all the time. My father was my whole world and I've never gotten over his death and it's put me into bad positions looking for inadequate father figures. How that relates to Michael? I don't know, but at some point whatever faith we invest in others we eventually have to put all or most of that into ourselves and just go on with live. Doesn't mean we get over things, I never got over deaths in my family I just learn to live with the pain, regrets etc.., Mike was like family, I only wish he'd been able to see that before he died. He got an up close and personal view of the hunters but the people who cherished him never had a way to really show it.

sherry: the way I put it, I'm all cried out too. It was recently I was able to stop everyday, but it's starting up again, and it's okay to talk about him in present tense even if it's a painful reminder he's no more. I do both now, past and present without getting too deep into it. I've learned that I have to accept myself with whatever is going on, even though I have some psychological crap I'm dealing with that's making it harder to cope, and sometimes even giving me thoughts that I never cared to begin with cause I'm too hurt to admit the trauma of what happened to him.

mozfonky: the way my friend put it, not having him alive was like living on another planet altogether, and even though I have been a fan through thick and thin, I felt guilt too and sometimes still do, cause I'm critical too though not harsh and it was all out of caring. I think I wanted him all to myself and to be what I wanted and he meant the world to me and I thought about him all the time and felt bad for it cause he aint god, and yeah he felt like family to me, absolutely, I understand where you're coming from, and I'm sorry about your father.

Its funny how LMP was still hanging around with MJ after their divorce.

Yet she kept bashing him.

Why hang out with the man you can't stand honestly.

I've noticed that once he's in your system, these women cannot let him go. LMP, Tatiana, Debbie. Didn't Michael even say at one point after they separated, LMP was writing and calling telling him she'd have his children? Don't know how true that is, but I'd believe it.

I know I wasn't in his life, but everyone who has been so drawn to him and cut off has felt so messed up after, and to some level, I can empathize with these women sad sad sad I wasn't just grieving his loss when he went but I was too too attached emotionally for a long time anyways cause of pent up issues and this just drove me to the edge.

Just from listening to this demo, you could tell MJ was going easy on the vocals. I bet in the final version, his voice was gonna be aggressive a la "Scream" and "D.S" and I'm sure the beat would have had WAAAY MORE BUMP to it.

Another fave, and yes the scat lyrics just put it in place getting more of a melody for the vocals than actual performance or delivery.

HIStory took me two years to understand where Michael was coming from. By the time that Bashit documentary aired, I began listening to the album with new eyes and saw that this album was from a man who was obviously spilling his guts for everyone to see and folks still were pissing at him as if he wasn't human.

Probably his second best album at least top 3 I don't listen to it much though.

I think the deeper the music is the less often one is going to listen to it because the music requires your full attention and kinda right mood. You can´t listen to it casually while doing something so that´s why I think you may not listen to some of your very favourite songs that often. I adore Smile, for example, but you need to sit down and really listen to it to appreciate it so I don´t listen to it that much, but I might love it more than some songs I listen to more often.

I gotta listen to it again. I kinda look at MJ's later music like I do Marvin's. Even with their problems, they were able to craft some great music during trying times.

HiStory is an album I adore and understand the need to be in the right frame of mind to listen to it, but if you shuffle it up then the resulting mix can be surprising and you start to hear songs almost in a fresh light.

Love it.

I saw a skit that he did on MJ, and you've probably seen it, he was dissing him so bad that some people in the audience stopped laughing and the rest continued to laugh. This person, when you read the comments on YouTube called Katt Williams a leprechaun pimp because he had the green blazer and tie with his hair slicked back. If he didn't like MJ, fine but it didn't have to resort to this. The last I've heard about Katt Williams, he was in a mental institution. Is that right?

I really don't like todays comedians, too rude, too brash and dishonest. By dishonest I mean I think they are willing to say anything for a laugh without any thought to situation or taste. I drove Cedric the Entertainer while he was in Seattle, you know what? I had nothing to say to him, I did go nuts for his bodyguard though, who was with my idol richard Pryor for many years.

One thing I've liked about Richard Pryor's jokes is that he told a story. The 'n' word, I disliked but before he passed, he said that he will never use it again because he loves his people. Also, yes to todays comedians that has gone overboard with the jokes. There are very few I've seen that hasn't.

I think he was evaluated at an institution, yes. That destroyed his entire show for me. I was gonna dig it but when he got into MJ, he ripped my heart apart. disbelief Especially with his ignorance towards vitiligo.

He swore of the N word in 82' after his africa trip. I thought I heard him slip once but i'm not sure. Richard was THE genius, in my mind, the rest aren't even close. I think the spoiled, bratty type of black comics started with Eddie Murphy, as brilliant as he was, led the way for a new wave of very disrespectful black comics. Too reliant on making an audience laugh without any thought to craft or art. The Jamie Foxx's, the Living Colors, Martin Lawrence's all are Richards spoiled children.

He only said the "n" word on "The Sunset Strip" to explain things rather than just use it. He didn't even dare to say the word on "Here and Now". He said a lot of "motherfucker" though. lol And I don't think he ever said it in his later stand-up career leading up to his final tour in 1992. I definitely think Eddie being the eldest of Richard's "comedy sons" was the reason why so many comics just curse without being creative. They should've studied Richard's albums when he DID say the "n" word because there was some socially conscious context to them (especially Bicentennial N****r). In that one especially in the title track he seemed to be telling a story. While it was funny, it was also poignant how he portrayed how the bicentennial black man would've acted like if he lived for over 200 years. Sadness within the context of comedy (and a somber-playing "The Battle Hymn of the Republic" in the background). Hear these words again:

"I don't know what to do

I don't know what to do if I get 200 more years of this (fake laughter)"

It's great stuff. Richard was a genius for real.

Just to make people laugh probably, he don't look right to me. He's off, he's attacking an icon had strength, that kind of fame would break most men. Katt's already broken and he wasn't shit to begin with. Few of us can fathom how living like that would be, we talk of Michael but the stress of that lifestyle drove strong men. Few people know it but Bruce Lee died from allergic reaction to eating cannibis, he passed out once they told him to stop...Bruce was a very strong, determined guy, after a certain point I guess he needed help relaxing.

yeah, the doctors purposely stated he died from a reaction to equagisic because they knew his wife and kids could not collect any life insurance if they listed cannibis. Bruce was not really rich or even superfamous when he was alive, outside of hong kong. Anyway, point is, not many handle that kind of fame well, one way or another it proves their undoing usually.
