Britney....by a mile.

Rihanna's vocal tone is endlessly irritating.

As for the Christina Agular post where she struggles through that song. Please remember that all great vocalist have a bad performance on occasion. Singing is 90 precent mental, and if for some reason you are having an off day, lack sleep, are unfocused it will affect your sound, so Christina get's a pass because I've seen her do tons of live perfomrances where she blows you away.

I call myself a "choke artist" in regards to singing because sometimes notes come out so good, however on some days I sound like im screaming while being pushed off a cliff. It just happens that way sometimes. I don't consider myself a great singer, but I do sing.

Although I'm your biggest fan...I'm also your biggest critic. Can you deal with that?

With all of the expensive vocal coaching and training that Britney had...why the hell does she still sing in the back of her throat and nasal passages? That woman can not sing at all to me, and she has a funny sounding voice. I'd rather walk into a lions den wearing porkchop's stapled to my pajamas than to listen to Britney sing.

Has she actually had expensive vocal coaching or are you just thinking she has? I've never heard of that. And I doubt she has as her voice would still be the same quality it was as a kid. I have a feeling she just stopped with trying to sing like that after her second album and doesnt care at all about vocal training.

It's a tie, they both lose.

Although, I can tolerate Rhianna's music a HELL of a lot more than I can tolerate the bullshit that's eminating from Britney's mouth.

Britney may be more popular, but popular doesn't mean better.

And LMAO @ a fucking Britney Spears fan making fun of Christina's singing.

It doesn't really matter at the end of the day. Britney has better songs.... in fact I would go as far as to say that "Blackout" is the most influential pop album of the last decade, and I'm pretty certain I'm not the first person to say that.

I don't listen to Britney because I want to hear incredible vocal performances.....anyone who does is surely missing the point.

Christina Aguilera would probably be considered to be a more skilled vocalist than both - but I can't stand her god-awful caterwauling and her songs are shit. So you know - it is what it is.

You need to review the bios and documentaries on Britney when her mother first broke her into the business. Yes, she had a vocal coach- several.

Here is an exerpt from the Doc Holiday vocal coaching DVD:

Sing With Doc is the first vocal training tape designed for the beginner vocalist looking to take the first step in becoming a great singer. In this tape you will learn the secrets of vocal training from one of the top vocal coaches today, Doc Holliday. He has trained many of todays stars including Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, Tyrese, O-town, and many more! In this 30 minute video program, Doc will show you how to perform a Vocal Analysis, the basics of Breathing, Articulation, and Pronunciation as well as simple exercises to improve these skills. This tape is bound to help improve voices of ALL ages.

Although I'm your biggest fan...I'm also your biggest critic. Can you deal with that?

I would say Rihanna. Britney's voice is just so annoying. I'm not saying Rihanna is a good singer, but I think she's better than Britney.

I can't find a comparison of both singing the same song, but here are clips of both singing Madonna songs: Rihanna singing "Vogue" and Britney singing part of "Like A Virgin"...

and yes this is the infamously bad MTV performance (Madonna/Britney/Christina and Missy-check out Mary J. Blige's expression in the crowd lol)

Thats what I'm saying though, judging by the other names on the list he probably trained her back in the say when her voice was good. I doubt shes had training since her Oops days, which would explain why her voice 'deteriorated' the way it did.

That's not how vocal training works. You usually don't "regress" if you stop training because even if you stop training you continue to sing using the techniques that you learned. But if you do stop training you just don't continue to grow vocally. Britney just "never" had it to begin with. All the kings horses and all the kings men couldnt give her the quality sound that has always eluded her. And who's to say that she did not continue with vocal training? I think that you are "reaching" by saying that she stopped because on this particular DVD the other artists had careers years ago. Im sure if I really cared, I could go and dig up some current coach. rolleyes

Well thats your opinion. I think she had natural talent as a child and still sounded good when she released her first two albums. And it doesnt even matter about training as I know voices can deteriorate with or without training. Mariah and Whitney are good examples of that.

Do you know why Whitney's voice deteriorated, and why Mariah lost her range? It just didn't happen randomly.

Anyway, you initially said that Britney didn't have any vocal coaching, and I proved to you that she did, and then you said "oh it happened a long time ago so she lost it...blah blah". Britney was always vocally challenged, folks were mesmerized by her entertainment and overlooked her wack voice.

I said I doubt she has, not she DEFINITLEY did not. I had no idea but my instinct was she didnt, thats what doubt is. And you still havent proven shes had any recently anyway. Again, it's your opinion shes always been vocally challenged. To me she hasnt so theres really nothing to argue over. You've proven your point that she has once had it, and it ties in with my feeling that it was around when she was still a good singer. Britney has also done drugs very obviously, so that could be her excuse for losing her voice also, who knows. But again you dont think she had a voice to begin with so we cant argue over that one either.

Neither are good, but Britney is far far worse. Rhianna can hold a tune and can kinda sing a little, however she DEFINITELY does NOT deserve the hype that she has. Not one IOTA of it.

It's amazing how Britney's "handlers" scamed everyone into thinking that this girl had an ounce of talent. Meanwhile there are talented artists just hungry to be "put on"...and they get no love. In addition, Britney is not even attractive (IMO). So you have a duckling individual with no vocal talent, who is good at copying lame choreographic dance moves, and yet she raked in millions. Freggin unbelievable. What a world we live in.

Although I'm your biggest fan...I'm also your biggest critic. Can you deal with that?

I'm going to say Rihanna. Britney sounds like an out-of-tune Mya (or Mya sounds like a more in-tune version of Britney-both have baby-esque voices). Rihanna doesn't have a lot of range, but I think she's the more talented singer (though, that isn't saying much).
