I liked what I heard from him so far. He released a song earlier this year(forgot its title) great chorus, great singing and very unexpected of him all-around.

Anyone know how the album is doing, or how it was generally reviewed?

I have to admit I really like alot of what i have heard so far from it, and feel a need to go out an actually buy it!!

It is one of her stronger recent album releases

^^ Critics hailed it as a "come back" (which is even more appropriate given some of the lyrical content), and was giving it thumbs up almost all across the board. I remember folks here previewing it on Billboard.com (they streamed it a week before its release), and there were positive reviews on here too.

I think the biggest success of any album is the fan's reaction. Some folks seem cop to Prince's attitude that "charts" don't matter - until it suits them to say otherwise and dismiss an otherwise great album as "a flop". (It's all very two-faced.)

If you can, get the Target version. There are 3 bonus tracks on there. There was also an iTunes pre-order bonus track called "Lost", that I dug up online. It's very haunting, and a great song (heavy on the auto-tune, but it seems to lend to the almost ethereal "lost" nature of the lyrics and music).

The bonus tracks are acoustic versions of "The Comeback" and "Lately", and an "Island Mix" of "Beauty In The World".

There's also a cool version of "Kissed It", fan made, out there. "E Bone Capone's Jam Edit", which is about 35 seconds longer, but differs a bit in the first half of the song.

I only take a bit of issue with ""Still Hurts", because the drums are really crisp on it, and it kills my ear drums. Even after one listen, it STILL HURTS. haha Otherwise, I think it's her most solid album in years. People scoffed at a Bobby Brown duet, but the song is a cute song! Her story behind making the album is great. When you hear that journey, the album takes on an even bigger meaning.

This is a Super well written song. It is a smart production and there is a deft hand driving on those performances - Lovely!!!

Dose Macy do much of her own writing?

Wow! I'm not a big Macy fan at all, though I've always been a Bobby fan..even through his many rough spots, but I'm loving the video and the song. Their voices really do work well together.

I may get a lot of flack for this but I don't care, it's the truth: Seems like Bobby is doing a hell of a lot better for himself since the divorce. I think we've seen more improvement from him than we have from her. Just sayin'.
