Mine would be a "Funk meets Strings" event, or "Groove on Strings"

The string-arrangements during the bridge of Aretha's rendition of It's Your Thing are imo phenomenal

Another time i'd like to attend a string-show of some Brazil artists (Eumir Deodato, João Gilberto, Sergio Mendes, etc...),

or a deep session of Gino Vannelli's work. I've actually witnessed Gino & strings before and everytime it was an adventure.

I know that Clare Fischer's work for Prince, Rufus, etc.. is known here on the org by some. What other conductors do you dig ?

A few i can think of at the moment are Gene Page, Lalo Schifrin, Lee Blaske (Lee's arranged bridge in "Can't Get Over You" by St. Paul blew me away).

There's more though ... have to dig some deeper ...
