I was lucky enough to see Rick on the Throwin' Down tour back in the summer of 1982 in Oakland Ca. It was my first concert. The opening acts were One Way and Cameo. "Always blessings, never losses......"

My first concert was Parliment/Funkadelic
My second concert was Prince, Time and Zapp band. I don't think the Rick James/ Prince tour came to my small town.
Then... I dunno. I just never went. I really made up my mind I was going to see Rick on one of theose "old school" tours he was on when he died. That very night... I think of him a lot too though I only like him casually, cause when I think of mj being gone, I immediately think of others that are gone in place of him, and Rick is one of the few that comes to mind. It's much easier though it's also sad he's gone. | |
