I really hate those recycled Bryan Michael Cox-like melodies, but you know what?

Her voice really breathes life into this generic song. I've ALWAYS loved Faye's voice, and I'm happy that she's coming back, I know the album itself will be great(like the rest of her albums), the singles are only distractions to fool the radio airplay anyway, so I can't be mad mushy

Agreed. I wouldn't like this song as much as I do if it was somebody else singing. Her vocal adds some meat to what the song itself has already.

Thanx for posting Identity. I played Keep the Faith album earlier today, so I was already in the mood for some more Faith and BAM! here is a new song from her biggrin

Faye is one of the best voices we've had in R&B since her debut. Sadly overlooked...sadly mismanaged. I've always felt that she needed the right sound to compliment her voice.

This is a cool joint. Looking forward to hearing more. I hope she has some great material. I hope she's still writing her own tunes.

Carvin Haggins&Ivan Barias did. I like their production on Musiq's Soulstar album. I can see they're going for more mainstream sound on this one, but it's a lot better, esp. with Faye doin her thang.

no kidding! i mean, i understand when it's something new & has worked for other artists so everyone would jump in on it, but it's been done to death and beyond for how long now? disbelief

Honey, them wheels have been off, I saw them going down my street a decade ago. tumbleweed

I really like Ms. Evans. It's sad that her material and production has more often than not, been wanting. I'll checkout the album, hoping that she'll surprise me with some nice cuts.

Yall should check out this interview done in April (the talk about her new album starts at 4:04)

She named producers and guest appearances: Chucky Thompson, Saalem Remi, Redman, Snoop Dogg, Mike City, Raekwan, and (possibly) Mary Mary.

-I hope esp. the collabo with Red makes it to the final tracklist. They go waaay back, they're longtime friends and for some reason, many times I look forward to collabos between artists who are personally tight.

-I like the fact that she keeps on working with Chucky Thompson. That lets me know the album still got that signature sound.

Faith always has plenty of gems on her CD's. I'm really looking forward to having her back.
