Breaking Down Marvin Gaye's What's Going On? Album Tonight on At Midnight, Brandi "Wyldflow3r" Walker, and a rotating panel of call-in guests will talk about Marvin Gaye's legendary, yet quite short, album What's Going On?.
Once Wyldflow3r and her panel covers the album (and she will be playing each song for review and discussion), she'll then play the "Detroit Mix" version of the album that Marvin had finished, but eventually refused to release. It later came out in about 2001, I believe.
Brandi and her guests will discuss what Marvin was experiencing and going through mentally, spiritually, etc., at the time he recorded the album, and how it almost didn't get released at all!
The show airs at midnight (DUH) Eastern time tonight (Monday August 2), and you can hear it by following this link.
Brandi encourages anyone to call and add to the discussion about Marvin Gaye's classic album. Her call in line is 1.917.889.3497
See you there! I'm anxious to hear this one.

Hey E
Show sounded good last night. Love that album and have played it about 17,000 times in my lifetime. I tuned in just in time for What's Happening Brother. Probably my favorite track on the album, (maybe God Is Love).
I usually crash between 10 and 11 CST many a nights and was just exhausted by the time of the show or I would have called in to rap with you guys.
Will definitely give it a listen later on.
Thanks for letting us know about it.
