From what I understand, it was Prince who financed it.

Prince ... ? ... interesting. I actually can't say i dig both songs, but the fact that Steve Arrington and Magic Lady joined the project,

was what made me check "Stop The Madness". Steve is not very visible/hearable in "Stop The Madness" though, or maybe i overlooked lol ?

Yes. When they ran out of money during the project, Prince donated about $85,000 to help finish the recording and video shoot.
