Nice jam. I'm feelin' it. Love how the bass and guitar are locked into playing the same line.
But I hate when bands put their album title in between two parts of their name. I know this has absolutely NOTHING to do with the song. I just hate it.

I got lotsa stuff like this. These guys are only just over a decade old, believe it or not. They never get enough attention. Hey! The cover is clearly a throwback to the 70's! lol This Post is produced, arranged, composed and performed by WetDream

From their 2006 album, Practice What You Preach. One of the best modern funk albums, if i may add. I'll be posting more bands etc over time. This Post is produced, arranged, composed and performed by WetDream

I'm liking this! "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

This is one of those bands that DJ Pari was promoting on his radio show. I heard some of their stuff on YouTube, some good stuff. Thanks.

It's actually a 1993 release, orginally on Soulciety Records. Daptone just picked it up as a re-issue. The Poets are from Munich, Germany, and they are (rightfully) credited with starting the new deep Funk movement for live bands. They have released a lot of material since, under a variety of names, and most releases are 45s on obscure indie-labels.
