This is one of those bands that DJ Pari was promoting on his radio show. I heard some of their stuff on YouTube, some good stuff. Thanks. | |

It's actually a 1993 release, orginally on Soulciety Records. Daptone just picked it up as a re-issue. The Poets are from Munich, Germany, and they are (rightfully) credited with starting the new deep Funk movement for live bands. They have released a lot of material since, under a variety of names, and most releases are 45s on obscure indie-labels. | |
