I hope it will feature some better/deeper lyrics this time
because the "Music" album was a major let-down for me in
that department.

I agree.

At first, I thought I didn't like the Bond theme because of the music. When it's really the stupid lyrics that grate on my nerves.

find a Bond theme song that doesn't have stupid lyrics... biggrin

Actually, I thought Live and Let Die from Paul McCartney was excellent lyrics, especialy since he wrote it in.. what? 15 minutes.. pretty amazing wink

Here is the most recent (and most likely) tracklist for the new CD...

MADONNA 'HOLLYWOOD' CD---release date: April 15---

"American Life"
"Die Another Day"
"Easy Ride"
"Ecstatic Process"
"Hollywood"
"I'm So Sorry"
"Love Profusion"
"Nobody Knows Me"
"Nothing Fails"
***another unknown song
***another unknown song

There will a total of 11 tracks."Ecstatic Process" is the song that is over 12 minutes long (let's hope Madonna doesn't shorten it for the album). The track "Nobody Knows Me" is the hardcore rap song that was inspired by Eminem.

I wish it was called "Touch." sad

I also have an issue with "Music," although I can't exactly lay my finger on what it is. It's certainly not in the caliber of "Ray of Light" in my book.

Yeah, but Touch is already taken. No need to steal. smile

Nothing will compare to the letdown of her recent greatest hits being called GHV2 instead of Forever.

She already stole "Who's That Girl" anyway! But Eurythmics stole back with "Angel." Who's going to steal to play next?

That compilation has severe flaws, including the title.

I guess I just feel that Touch wouldn't make a good album title for her. It was mysterious and threatening when Eurythmics used it but it would be pretty anonymous for someone as mainstream as Madonna. Hollywood is better for her. But I wish it was called Ein Sof like she was originally planning.

TRON,I also think that 'Hollywood' is a cool title for the new CD.Alot of fans are speculating that this will be some kind of "concept album" of sorts.Look at some of the song titles...

***"Hollywood"---perhaps this will be a sarcastic and scathing look at the phoniness of the whole Hollywood scene, similiar to what Prince was singing about in the song "The Dream Factory"?

***"American Life"---some fans think that this song may also be a less-than-rosy picture of America today. It's well known that Madonna opposes Bush and the war,so perhaps this song deals with her thoughts on these topics? If so,this would be a "timely" single,to be sure smile

***"Die Another Day"---the Hollywood machinery can kill you if you can't handle it,so this song is a perfect addition to the overall concept of the album.Madonna sings "I'm gonna destroy my ego...I'm gonna avoid the cliche" and decides that she will "die another day,it's not my time to go".

***"Nobody Knows Me"---In Hollywood, you're constantly playing roles, and people never really see the "real person" you are.Perhaps,on this tune,Madonna will break free from the Hollywood masquerade and reveal who she really is?

What do you think?

All I know is that I desparately hope that Die Another Day isn't on there. She's never chinced out by putting soundtrack songs on her albums so why should she start now. And if the rumors are true that this album is much less electronic, it would stick out like a sore thumb.
