Cocteau Twins

Anyone else dig them?
Their lyrics make no sense, but they kick ass anyway.
I especially like Ivo,Persephone,Aloyius,Lorelei,Lazy Calm, Sugar Hiccup, their collab with Faye Wong - Serpentskirt.
Too bad they broke up

Finally somebody else whos into Cocteau Twins.

They're great. No other records give a better background for those s*p*e*c*i*a*l moments.

Yeah, my girlfriend, applekisses, digs the Cocteau Twins. She has a box set on top of the stereo. The box-set contains ICEBLINK LUCK, LOVE's EASY TEARS, ECHOES IN A SHALLOW BAY, TINY DYNAMINE, THE SPANGLE MAKER, LULLABIES, PEPPERMINT PIG, SUNBURST AND SNOWBLIND, DIALS * THE HIGH MONKEY-MONK * OOMINGMAK, and AIKEA-GUINEA * KOOKABURRA * QUISQUOSE * ROCOCO .

Some of the compact discs are signed by the members of the band and she has a flyer from one of their gigs in Pontiac, Michigan.

That's all I have to say about that. She will respond, I do know that.

I haven't heard them in years. My roommate for three years adored them. I remember a few of their songs but not the titles. They were cool even though they made no sense to me at all...I referred to them as "The Cockatoo Twins", which, of course, drove my roommate up the wall wink By and far, I could listen to them but I don't own their works.

Squish...just downloaded the system sounds...they are very cool!
(I'm a2grafix girl, btw...I see that he raided my music collection when I was sleeping wink )
I met the Cocteau Twins a few years back here in Michigan when they came to Clutch Cargo's. A friend of mine and I won a contest to meet the band and hang out with them after the show.
Unfortunately, Liz had a sore throat and couldn't speak, but she was very gracious, nonetheless smile

I have ALL Cocteau Twins albums! They RULE! music

In fact, many bands on that 4AD label were very cool...Dead Can Dance comes to mind...

Are the Cocteau Twins really broke up?

I saw them on the heaven or las vegas tour & they put me too sleep (standing up), the show was soo slow & horribly paced that it was like an extended lullaby, major let down..

Saw em twice live - great stuff...Dead Can Dance were always stellar live too (and Lisa Gerrard solo). The nice 4AD stuff.

Prince told MOJO back in 1996 that he used to listen to and
liked a lot of the stuff that Cocteau Twins did.

I agree. It's great music for romantic encounters.

I would also sprinkle in a little Mazzy Star and Cowboy Junkies and a couple of bottles of red wine.
