Harlepolis	Yahzarah - "Ballad of Purple Saint James": Does Anybody Have This Album? This album is slowly becoming my 2nd FAVE album after Janelle's. She had my attention when she covered Syreeta/Stevie Wonder's "Come back as a Flower". But the rest of the album is def a pleasurable experience.

I do! I played it for my bf the other night but he wasn't feelin' it. I too was intrigued because of her cover of Syreeta (the best song on JTTSLOP), but I am loving the rest of it. It's funky and smooth and raw all at the same time. She has an interesting voice and a big range. You should try to find her version of My Funny Valentine. It's...interesting. biggrin

I know you're a fan of Joyce Kennedy too...Yahzarah covered Baby Love on her debut. smile

Supa sent me a mixtape couple of years ago and it had this song in(without the singer's name). I could def tell whose voice it was now, LOVED her cover. I am really digging this album. I'm glad you posted it. More people should hear it. I bought last month after hearing 1 song.
