The drum work vocal and string arrangement on Portugese Love is fuckin insane. She said in the lnier notes of her "Ultimate Collection" that Rick reminded her that it actually happened in Pittsburgh but Pittsburgh Love didn't have quite the same ring as Portugese lol

Why would you say your list is f'd up? It's your own personal list. Nothing wrong with that. I just bought Home by Michael Buble a few minutes ago. Almost got Colorblind, but decided not to. [Edited 7/18/10 9:19am]

Looking at some of these fantastic lists, makes me wish the thread could've asked for a brief backstory on each track. Sooo....
Home - Depeche Mode The song is how I feel about finally being in a comfortable place mentally, and literally, and being in love with someone who loves you back.
Aja - Steely Dan Beautiful tune, and phenomenal album I re-discovered while on tour in Korea (Armed Forces), and made my turbulent state, a little brighter.
Lookin Through The Windows - Jackson 5 This is probably my favorite MJ era, and I get misty-eyed everytime I listen to this song. It's good songwriting, good arrangements, still-relevant lyrics, and overall decent production that holds up well for a 1972 recording.
Tell The Coach - The Busboys This song seems to evoke the tv show The White Shadow. If I ever meet bandleader Kevin O Neal, I'm gonna ask him.
The Answer Is You - Phyllis Hyman Though I heard it before viewing Set It Off, I still remember the shock I got in the theatre, hearing it, and sadly realizing no one else probably was giving it a second thought.
The Ocean - Led Zeppelin This cut has the coolest breakdown/bridge, and Bonham is makin' those drums talk!!!
What You Won't Do For Love - Bobby Caldwell Is is normal for an 8 year-old boy to like such a sophisticated funk ballad like this? Well it happened. I feel the same way about this song when I first heard it in 1978.
Compared To What - Les McCann & Eddie Harris First heard it in the movie Casino, and is my favorite song of all time.
Surrender - Swing Out Sister Yet another great sophisti-funk track that sounds as I first played the cassette back in 1988.
Sunshower - Dr. Buzzard's Original Savannah Band First heard this in Boyz In The Hood, and finally discovered I had the album that I sadly overlooked.
