I was just saying that compared to what Prince released in the same year as Midnite Vultures, (the Rave album) Becks effort was far superior. Beck himself spoke of listening to Prince during the writing of this album. Midnite Vultures is the type of album i would love Prince to make.

There's a neat interview with Beck and D'Angelo, right before the release of Midnite Vultures and Voodoo, respectively. Very interesting times for the both of them. They touch on Prince.

It's interesting that Beck's somewhat embarrassed by some of his older material, Vultures, in particular. Lots of fans consider it their favorite. | |
