This is great

Flying Lotus (aka Steven Ellison) is an amazing artist, many consider him to be the American equivalent to the UK's The Aphex Twin.

His 1st album was released in 2006 and was called "1983."

He followed that up in 2008 with the much darker "Los Angeles."

His latest "Cosmogramma" is a glorious mish mash of experimental beats and noise, it also features vocals by Thom Yorke of Radiohead.

Beware though, this music is not easy to listen to, but is fantastic for when you are in a dark mood.

I think that Comogramma is one of the albums of the year so far.

On the contrary I'm @ youtube now listening to his miscellaneous collection and I'm def loving what I'm hearing so far.

I think I will with "Los Angels" based on what you described it to be.

My description of the music "not being easy to listen to" did not mean to say that i think it is bad in any way, i love this stuff.

Suppose different people will describe it in different ways, like all music.

If you like the stuff on Cosmogramma i'm pretty sure you will enjoy Los Angeles.

I am just pleased that someone else has acknowledged Flying Lotus because i really do think he is someone special.

Saw him live twice... he even opened for Thom Yorke's side project Atoms for Peace.
