It shouldn't matter... people just need to accept that there's black folks who ARE open about it but don't fully promote it which Rahsaan truly isn't, it's just a part of his nature. People just need to get over it.

I just love Rahsaan. His first album is classic and I really dig After Hours and Wine and Spirits. His performance style is so fresh-improv is amazing.

One of the best vocalists in the history of R&B. His debut is a fucking classic and I bump it til this very day.

It's just not relevant, in the light of the man's talent. It's like telling me that Nat King Cole had chronic diarrhea....ya know?

Rahsaan has produced some of the best R & B of this last decade (3 albums especially: "Love In Stereo", the aforementioned debut & "Wine & Spirits").

This being 2010 & all..............my BEST advice (if you know him or NOT).......would be to get yourself a really good set of headphones & spin some Rahsaan on shuffle. He's sonic bliss (in this genre, I don't think you'll find better these days). THAT'S what matters bout him...or any artist, I think. THE TALENT.

Being as bereft as we are in the talent department industry-wide, I'd rather laud the guy for that than discuss what he does with his cock. Simple as that.

Of course it's not relevant in and of itself, but it still interested me, as a gay man who struggled with coming out of the closet. It's nice to see people come out of the closet so casually and not give a shit. Especially if they are black.

I was never a huge fan of his music but I am going to have to revisit it after some of the songs I heard in this thread. Good stuff!
