I´ve been listening to this man´s music for days on repeat. And he even follows me when I visit friends ( a friend of mine put on a CD by Paco and McLaughlin and Al Di Meola when I visited him the other day....sipping on beers on the balcony, listening to Paco De Lucia...wonderful!).

I discovered him recently while watching Woody Allen´s beautiful movie "Vicky Cristina Barcelona", that movie is a must-see for anybody who needs to be cheered up. And in that movie, there´s always this famous tune by Paco De Lucia, a tune that sounded familiar but honestly, I had never heard of him before, and now I´ve been listening to his old stuff eversince.

Great music, great musician. Makes me want to live in Spain for a while.

Two of my ex-girlfriends made me hate Flamenco but Paco De Lucia made me love it again. That man is a healer and a magician.

Actually, no, because I have only recently discovered him but that friend I mentioned above has a live CD by Al Di Meola, John Mc Laughlin and Paco De Lucia, live in San Francisco.

He's certainly one of the greatest guitarists ever.

One of my favorite albums by him is Zyryab (1990). (Chick Corea plays on it, as well.)

Friday Night In San Francisco is a fantastic album! It was recorded in 1980 and released in '81, and it contains some of the most amazing and terrifying guitar playing you'll ever hear.
