One accident per year...

GEORGE MICHAEL has been arrested after his car crashed into a ´shop on the night of a gay festival, The Sun can reveal.

The troubled singer, 47, was held on suspicion of being unfit to drive after he lost control of his Range Rover and it smashed into a Snappy Snaps.

The impact buckled a door frame and shattered windows at the photo store in posh Hampstead, North London - near the star's home.

The singer - who only last year ended a two-year ban for drug driving - was held at 3.35am on Sunday after London's Gay Pride parade. He was quizzed at a nearby police station and released on bail. He must return next month.

Cops said: "A man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of being unfit to drive."
Last night the singer's spokesman refused to comment.

It's the latest brush with the law for the gay ex-WHAM! star.

His ban came after he was found slumped at the wheel in Cricklewood, North West London, in May 2007.

He admitted drug driving. On top of his ban he got 100 hours' community work.
Last year he was again held on suspicion of drug driving after a late-night smash with a lorry on a motorway in Berkshire. He was released without charge.

In February 2006 he was cautioned for possession of a class C drug. He was cautioned and released. He was held again in September 2008 for possession of a class A and a class C drug after being caught by cops in a public toilet on Hampstead Heath.

I can't for the life of me understand why anyone with money wouldn't be driven around like a total snob! If I didn't have to drive, I wouldn't. I mean I don't because I don't have a car but if I did it would be Miss Daisy all the way!

It's a tragedy the wasted potential from this man. He could have been so much more over the last 20 years.
