She left because she was promised that it would be a one album deal and she would be able to work on her solo album...every move she made was for her own solo album...but that's ancient history now "perving the pics".....they all look great!!!!

Did that info come out of the horses mouth? If not, it sounds like something Raphael Saadiq or the jilted record label would say to cover their asses. The group had a bad record deal, so Dawn bounced because they were being paid peanuts. She also got screwed over by Saadiq and she's not the only one. Some of the other people that have worked with that man have said negative things about him too. Many artists get ripped off because the entertainment industry is shady. Can you blame somebody if they want to leave a bad situation?

Word on the street is that they have signed to an idie label & signed to ICM Management and currently in studio working on some new stuff and trying to have a single out by September and new album thereafter.....

That's great! Those ladies deserve a better record deal and better management after all they've been throught. It's ridiculous that they've had great songs, but didn't get paid as much as they should've. I hope they get plenty of money this time around.

It was industry talk I heard years ago..I'm sure she may have commented on it..Saadiq agreed to a second album..Dawn wasn't with it..so he brought Joi in..it's old news..I'm looking forward to now and seeing them Saturday...
