I agree with about Ms. Watley's singing, in many ways the group was underrated. Always love the bass-lines in their songs, they always popped. I miss dance music.

Exactly! but I wish they would put aside there major differences & get back together. Because individually none of them are really doing anything major. They were at the height of there success when things fell apart

Its sad because as a trio I thought they were great but some things need to be remembered as they were so I can understand her reluctance to do that whole reunion thing.

Sure, she was huge thanks to path that was created by Shalamar but more people on this Earth , theyknow who Jody Watley more so than Shalamar. Look, nostalgia is cool and all but reality can be a good friend too. To the r&b world, it's all about Shalamar but to the Paula Abdul, MJ, Britney world, it's all about Jody. The fact that she did it with r&b music and natural black beauty should be applauded, not dismissed.

Although Jody has never publicly declared why she will never return I think it has a lot to do with how they treated her when she was pregnant.

Howard & Jeffrey will be waiting a long time . . . .

Awesome track, and one of my favorites by this sadly missed group. Reminds me of the good old summers when popular music was still enjoyable.

In all honesty those youtube clips she posted really didnt address the split as such, more her discord at the unsung episodes

I finally (recently) got a good copy of the "extended version" of this song (posted in this thread)..

so now I play it/dance to it regularly..

GREAT dance song, & I agree - today's "r&b artists" (HA HA) don't make 'em like that anymore. not even close.

I've never been a big fan of Jodi's.. but I too would say she did better solo than she did in that group (maybe "payback" for Howard "dissin" her back in the day??)
