David Coverdale "Last note of freedom"

The film it's from:- "Days of thunder", the unofficial sequel to "top gun". Same producers, same director, same star.

The music:- Lyrics by Billy Idol. Music by Hans Zimmer (not that famous yet admittedly). Hire big lead vocalist at the time with massive voice in David Coverdale. Hire uber pop producer Trevor Horn. A massive hit song maybe? Nope....

Shame it didn't do anything on the charts. Lovely song though. Great production.

Great song. I love when he starts screaming towards the end. I used to have this on tape, got it as a promo.

Yeah me too. As a Billy Idol fan, I can imagine him doing this. Maybe he was going to?

Anyway, Trevor Horn was in his prime back then. Surprised it wasn't a big hit.
