Never Can Say Goodbye

Which of these artists you think did the better version of "Never Can Say Goodbye"?

The Jackson 5

Isaac Hayes

Gotta give props to Gloria, though. Hell, I love this song by just about anyone. Clifton Davis, you did good!

I like Gloria Gaynor version. However with the death of Michael, the J5 version sounds more poignant now.

It's always been poignant to me. It's my favorite J5 song and my 4th favorite overall with Michael.

It's hard to say, because they're all so different.

And I think some people are just Michael/J5 -biased.

I like J5 and Isaac ´s versions the best.

"When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

J5, no doubt. Their version is one of my favorite songs, period. I've always wanted to hear MJ's adult version from the cancelled Decade compilation, by the way. I'm hoping that will be released at some point.

While I'm a big fan of JB and Isaac Hayes, I never cared much for their takes on it. Both musically and vocally, the J5's version is the only one I've really enjoyed until...
