Liz Phair's Funstyle

Released on her own site over the weekend.

For any fans that wanted her to get weird again, your wish is her command. Careful what you wish for. And, yet, I'll play a few of these a few millions times. biggrin

And there's some hilarious crap-ass song at the end called U Hate It that I swear is a tribute to Had U

I bought this. I like this a lot! It does have some fun bizarre tracks, but it also has some more conventional ones.

It was a nice surprise. More artists need to do this. I always hear artists going on about how they are going to release something but then it never happens because they can't get a record deal Just put in on the Internet for your fans. How hard is it to do?

I read somewhere Liz is going to do a tour soon. I'll be there.

I'm feeling nostalgic for all the great 90's alternative and indie rock music now!

Yeah, it's interesting that there are a few really straightforward, catchy-as-hell songs along with the weirder almost skit-like pieces - someone suggested it's really like an EP with some De La Soul style skits thrown on!

I love it!! Best thing she's done in a long time (and I liked "Somebody's Miracle," for the most part).

Hope she stops by First Ave. on her tour. I am so there!!
