At first I sort of ignored the album after the first listen, thinking it a bit 'light' and 'fluffy'.

But man have I been spinning this thing lately. It's so sweet in places, and a bit zesty in others. The vocals are addictive, and the little studio tricks they embellished their tunes with on this sophomore effort aren't distracting, but actually lend themselves nicely to the tone of the album.

Is anyone else feeling this thing?

I use to hang out with Vampire Weekend during the Pull Out Method in NYC.

they were awesome.

I'm in love with Vampire Weekend. Contra is really great, its half indie rock, half worldbeat and a little bit electronic in places, and its just fantastic. I saw VW live a few months ago, they were awesome
