It's really not fair, Luther leaving us so soon. He was one of our musical icons. He left a void that will never be filled.

I don't even bother with this new so-called 'R&B'. I'd rather listen to Luther & Teddy P - REAL talent. [Edited 7/7/10 7:03am]

One of my favest tracks by him. That moody talking-intro with the warm Fender Rhodes followed by such a rich blend of instruments. I can always party to this jam. Unfortunately that the clip is somehow locked to play in this forum, lol.

The greatest male vocalist of all time.... when he died that actually hurt me a little inside. I grew up trying to capture his powerhouse smooth vocal style within my own voice. Glad to see people remember Luther and I wish he got the same recognition as Michael. Thats a shame and a different story but R.I.P Luther. There will never be another.
The Night I Fell In Love, Busybody and the Luther Vandross (2001) albums are classics to me. I definitely have to buy that Love, Luther compilation. I also have all his dvds and his live album which to me are better than any album. Stevie Wonder = EARTH
Prince = WIND Chaka Khan = FIRE Sade = WATER the ELEMENTS of MUSIC
