a-ha "25" artwork and tracklist, plus artwork for reissues, 9 more concerts added bringing the tour to 81dates.

a-ha has premiered their last work. "25" a 2cd 39 song collection of singles released in all countries at some point, a few remixes of the singles were tossed in instead of regular versions. The one new track "Butterfly, Butterfly" closes out the second disc, and the discs are split into two different a-ha sounds, 80's and then 90-2010, which is where the garnered their critical praise and were recognized as a band by the press, critics, and peers. The single for "Butterfly Butterfly" will be released digital on July5th in Norway, on July 30th as a physical single and digital single in the uk and germany and other markets in europe. The 2cd set will have various street dates, In Norway it will be July19th, however Germany and Central Europe will get it August 6th, the UK and other parts of Europe will have to wait till October 4th, the usa will not get the single or cd release.

The usa will see a domestic/website only release for their first two cds "hunting high and low" and "scoundrel days" both done in deluxe fashion featuring bsides remixes and demos, from RHINO.COM in the states and UK will get it through AmazonUK. In europe however the cds may be in stores also.

And a-ha's final tour has now approached its final part which will feature (9 more shows) and will have a-ha playing 60 more shows between July 16th and their Finale on December 4th in Norway, more dates are likely, at this moment they have 81 booked on the tour, but as Magne Furuholmen said "we are trying to get into every country at least for a few weeks", 22 of the 60 shows that a-ha is to play are in Germany, they will also go to Norway,Japan,UK,Poland,Russia,Lithuania and more.

the reissues will begin shipping on July6th.

During a 3week hiatus between the american/south american shows and the Europe portion of the tour, a-ha has been handing out 1million kroner each to 4 different upcoming artists chosen by them and a panel of judges to JUMP START their music careers, the artists have to have to fill a very unique sound to get past these judges, no simon and paula type shit here. Good to see a band give back when most artists tend to take the money and open clubs and do other dumb meaningless stuff with it.

Very nice tracklisting indeed. I didn't know that "The Blue Sky" and "The Swing of Things" had ever been singles.

Although "Swing of Things" is one of my favorite a-ha tunes; glad its included.

its one of the best tracklistings i have seen for a compilation of an artists work, its much different than the 39 track best of that was circulating the net, after they said they were dispanding. Blue Sky was supposed to be the 5th single from their debut but never happend, and Swing of things has always been a favorite of fans, ironically that album (scoundrel days) has always been one the faves of fans by far especially of their 80's work and yet only had 3 singles, in concert now they are playing between 6-7 songs from that record.

Its cool of them to add in some single remixes, especially from the last record since those cd singles were tough to get at times, and some of the earlier stuff too. Interesting that "You are the one" is included for the first time since the 1991 compilation "Headlines and Deadlines" it was cut from the 1984-2004 set, but "Touchy" was included on that one, even though a-ha despise that song to this day. a-ha played "You are the one" acoustically recently in south america, and they hadnt played it in almost 20 years, the audience sang most of it, because lead singer Morten forgot alot of the words, great scene, they didnt miss a beat.

I despise "Touchy" too - definitely my least favorite on the compilation.

Interesting to see "Slender Frame" - that's another one of my favorites. Great tune.

Agree that its cool to have some of the single mixes. It's a very thorough compilation for sure.

I think Lie Down in Darkness should've been included however... but i don't know what could have been bumped to make room for it.

that track actually is on the circulating version of a 39 song greatest hits that popped up late last year, as was "The Bandstand" from the latest album, which should have been a single, and is a big part of their set now. Interesting to see "Cold as Stone" that re-mix has long been out of print and very tough to find still, that track originally is a 9+ minute jam. It would be great to back this up with a dvd compilation of the videos, they already have plans for a tour dvd obviously and possibly a live cd too, and the reissue of the "Swing of things" book in an updated version.
