YOUR MUSICIAL HEROES LIVE?...

i have saw prince around a dozen times live....in glasgow, edinburgh , london , dublin and minneapolis ....the best one i think was the one nite alone tour in 2002 in london..... it was almost a religious experience....seeing him in a small venue definately helps seeing a huge talent like prince live.....tomorrow i will see another of my musicial heroes for the very first time.......i have always been a huge beatles fan since i can remember and now i will attend a stadium gig in glasgow to see paul mccartney in the flesh ...i am looking forward to it greatly and with paul now being 68......it will almost certainly the last chance to see a beatle live.......john was always my favourite but noone can deny how important mccartney was to the beatles huge success all over the world.......so have you seen all your musicial heroes live ?........

I have seen some of my "musical heroes" live, but unfortunately I never got the chance to see John Lennon. I've seen Paul once. It was a few years ago and he was very good live. Even at 68 he's still an amazing bass player and his voice doesn't sound too bad either.

I've seen Prince numerous times as well. My favourite concert was also the one night alone in Toronto. Awesome small venue. I loved it.

I've also seen Carlos Santana, Bob Dylan, George Michael and Al Green. All are favourites of mine and I'm very glad I've had the chance to see them.

Well, I've seen Tori Amos twice and Marilyn Manson twice, as well as No Doubt, Cher, and Hanson. Now I just need to see Prince and Ace of Base (though unfortunately the lineup has changed and it won't be the same...) and that would just about do it.

I have seen most of my musical heroes live, the list too long to mention but the highlight of the list would have to be . . .

The great Phyllis Hyman, I saw her live twice & its an experience I will never forget love

Within the past three/four years I finally saw Stevie Wonder and Smokey Robinson. That takes my list down to three "heroes" I would still like to see.

Peter Gabriel David Bowie and James Taylor

I had a chance to see Peter Gabriel on his "Up" tour in 2002, but ticket prices were so ridiculously high I refused to go on principal.

I've seen most of mine, though not necessarily in their prime.

Really wish I could have seen the Who with Keith Moon, and Zep with Bonham, and Funkadelic with Eddie Hazel. I took James Brown gigs for granted, he came through every year & it was never quite the right time to go. Oops.

There aren't any I can think of that are still alive that I haven't seen. Well there's Capt Beefheart but he's stricken with MS and unlikely to ever perform again. And I DID see Sly Stone perform moderately well for five minutes (special guest at a P Funk show) so I've probably seen as much of him as most people recently.

I have pretty much gotten to see everyone, the only one i can say that i would have loved to have seen live was Queen with Freddie Mercury, but that had stopped touring especially in the states by 1980 or so probably earlier.

But everyone else that i would consider "heroes" i have seen, Prince i have seen alot, and others like Elton, John Mellencamp, and others like that but i really feel that nothing can compare to seeing a-ha this year 3 nights in a row in NYC, i only seen them once back in 2005 when they played a one off show in NYC, but this was really special because i got to be up front all nights, it was a very intimate setting, and its their final shows, so very bittersweet. And got to spend time with the band too after the third show, so it cant get any better to see your fave band but then hang with them

I don't know how many of these I'd call "heroes", but I have seen a lot of people that I love to listen to. music

I've seen Prince 26 times, Santana 5 (and about to buy tix again), and I finally got to see Stevie Wonder the summer before last.

I've seen quite a few others, too. There's NOTHING like live music. headbang

I'm going to Tears for Fears in August, and Jill Scott/Maxwell tomorrow night! biggrin

I saw Billy Joel during that long run in NYC, but I'd love to see him with Elton John.

The one person I wish I could have seen is HENDRIX. He died when I was 3 years old. sigh

I wish I could have seen MJ, Rick James and James Brown, too. sad

I saw these two and was very disappointed.

I saw all my favourite artists apart from Van Hunt and Andre 3000/Outkast. But the only ones I saw really often are Prince and TTD, so I wish I would have seen artists like Beck more often than I did. At least I am gonna see Adam Green again later this week after I missed his last show in my hometown because I was abroad.

With a very special thank you to Tina: Is hammer already absolute, how much some people verändern...ICH hope is never so I will be! And if, then I hope that I would then have wen in my environment who joins me in the A....

I have only seen Donna Summer once in concert and she was awesome. Such a powerful voice. Even better live than when recorded. No joke or overexaggeration. She is the only person I would pay to go see.
