I always liked the rhythm guitar on that song. Their 2nd CD was actually pretty good. Evan Rogers and Carl Sturken have been "Jimmy & Terry"ing it up for years now. They have a long string of hits. They wrote for NSync and a whole host of female pop singers (Jessica Simpson, Rihanna, Mandy, Christina Millian, etc. For those that keep wondering how Rihanna keeps getting those hot tracks - there's your answer. I think they are the ones who discovered her, if I'm not mistaken.

Shortly before that didn't they sing backup on Nia Peeples 2nd album? The lead singer Evan Rogers' voice is right up front on the chorus....

Correct, Blaque... just read recently that they discovered Rihanna. I knew they'd been producing/wrting over the last 20 years. Not the biggest fan of their latter work, but I enjoyed their early stuff. They produced Paul Peterson's second album (Stranger To Love). If I recall, Paul did further instrumental/production work with them over the years. Enjoyed the first Rythm Syndicate album, but never heard their second one. That first one has aged a bit, but it was fun at the time. Rogers could definitely sing, but he obviously found his bread-n-butter with prod/writing.

Evan Rogers once was part of the group Dayton during 1982, the release-year of Dayton's album "Hot Fun In The Summertime".

Around 1984 he released 2 tight debut-singles on RCA, and eventually released his debut-album around 1985 on RCA as well, including Prince's "Private Joy".

Another solo-album followed around 1989 on Capitol Records before he formed the Syndicate.

His 1rst 2 RCA-singles which were never released on an album :
