I ain't neva heard any of his other songs. So, he's a good singer? Even with that lisp he got???
He's a good singer and his debut album is very good.The record label didn't choose the right singles,though.After "The Rain",they should have released "1-2-1" as the second single.It's a strong,infectious track....the second best song on the album.
His follow up album had some good cuts on it from what I remember (may have to go dig in the archives)
I bought his second album 'G.T.O' (Gangsters Taking Over)' in 1987 Haven't played it in years,but I remember that there are a few good songs on it....a nice duet with Alyson Williams called "How To Love Again" and a great tune called "I Just Can't Say Goodbye".I wasn't too crazy about the first single "Cold Spending My Money".
Did you ever hear the "answer record" by Miss Thang? It's called "Thunder And Lightning".It's the woman's point of view.Her rap comes in about 1:33 seconds into it....
