I'm pretty sure Drake's "Find Your Love" is a hit right?
I mean I swear I dont listen to the radio anymore really but this HAS to be a big hit by now right? I mean seriosuly I have a good ear for what is going to be a hit and I know they are playing this out by now...or something.

i havent even looked at a chart so i havent a clue if this is even charting, there are too many charts in this country, there should be one and call it a day. Its getting heavy rotation on VH-1 Soul. I like this video because Drake gets shot at the end (supposedly). If not, he should. He gets on my nerves. Talk about overhyped.

This cat is trying his hand at singing now. Well he doesn't sound as tragic as PDiddy but still tragic. Don't laugh at my funk

It's top 20 on the Hot 100, so I guess it's doing well. I hate though.

i like the video . the song is okay. the girls love all of drake's shit, especially when he's "singing", so of course it's a hit . his singing = meh. i hope he doesn't bombard his album with that shit and sticks to what he's decent at (rapping), even though his flow NEVER changes (no swag) [Edited 6/14/10 12:10pm] For all time I am with you, you are with me.

It's amazing how out of touch most of you people are. Drake has been singing for a minute. Actually you can hear him singing in Alicia Keys Unthinkable which he co-wrote. Drake is really good, I slept on him for a while until I downloaded the So far Gone mixtape and realized that is not the same ol' rapper talking about BS. This dude is actually trying to do some stuff that is creative. Just because it's top 40 doesn't mean it sucks.
Seriously guys, open up a bit. There's more to music than old funk records, Whitney, janet, Michael, and Madonna [Edited 6/15/10 6:50am]

Please. Drake is OKAY. He's not some brilliant lyricist. He's a punchline rapper. Drake is fluff. No, he's not talking violence and street shit - he's CANADIAN. WTF does he know about a hood? At the same time, after listening to cats like Black Thought, Pharoahe Monch, P.E., BDP, etc. his material sounds lame. Just because he makes you wet or hard or whatever doesn't mean the rest of us grown folk are gonna be impressed by this dude. He's not saying anything bad but he's not saying ANYTHING, really. He sweet talks girls. If Drake looked like Wayne, he wouldn't even be relevant. He's a pretty boy, so he gets cred partially off his looks. Holla at me when he makes a statement worth listening to. And... His flow is garbage; monotone ass m****r f****r. [Edited 6/15/10 10:36am]

He gets mad credit for hooking up with Francis and The Lights on his new album on "Kareoke". I mean..WHAT person in the industry asks Francis And The Lights to produce a track Straight Jacket Funk Affair

And you just lost credibility with your comment because it's very obvious you haven't listened to his music. I never shouted that this dude was the best thing since slice bread, I simply stated that in a world of manufactured rap stars here is someone who is trying to do something a bit creative and it's even better knowing that he got to where he got WITHOUT a record deal. You can sit here all day an name other rappers (since you like to compare), I listen to everyone you named. But you left off DOOM, EL-P, Cannibol Ox, Mickey Factz, and many others (let's see if you're really about it), doesn't mean that Drake isn't good at what he does. I shouldn't have to holla at you when he makes a statement, if you wanted to hear something good you'd figure it out yourself. But I see you'd rather compare and hate than open up and get it.
And it's laughable that you said he ain't talking about anything. LOL right on man, do it big, Grown Folk.

Thank you. Some people don't get it man. Just because someone is mainstream they will think they suck. He ain't the best, but he holds it down.

I hate it. hate the vid too.
Now that other jam "Say Somethin'" I could groove to that. They don't play it enough. I guess I could buy his CD....I've wasted $$ before so no biggie.

I listen to shitload of mainstream music and I don't like Drake like that. I've given him a chance, but he's lame. Not saying that he should project himself as a certain kind of rapper - at least Common and rest were still good. He's just as manufactured as the rest of them.

I don't know alot about his music or the road he's been on, but i do give him props for steppin outside and using some creativity for sure! To answer the post i saw the video to "find your love" first and i have to say im diggin the song. i like how the video actually told a story which allowed me to connect to the song in a way i might not off.

Drake is an artist who has a major amount of money behind him to push his stuff to be a hit. You were gonna like regardless you didn't have a choice. Kinda of like Rhianna. You see them ALL THE TIME no matter what happens they are always on the cover a mag or web spots. I give him credit for not being a fake "ganxsta" to some degree. He sounds too much like Wayne to me. But if he floats your boat have at it.

I agree. I like it. It's not as good as his mixtapes, but it's a decent effort.
