Does anyone in the org still use Pandora Radio? If you still use Pandora Radio, can you please help me figure out how in the hell can I keep my favor songs in the genre station where they belong?
Good freaking grief, there is nothing more unacceptable than listening to my custom made funk radio station and out of nowhere, WITHOUT warning, a Hall & Oates song comes on. WTF?!?
Now don't get it twisted. I like Hall & Oates. I have them in my custom made pop/rock station. But Hall & Oates tracks have no damn business on a funk station! What's next, we're going to have Air Supply on a dance-pop station? GTFO of here with the DJ on autopilot crap!!!
Now keeping a Michael Jackson song or a Prince song on a specific station is even more difficult.
I have most of Michael songs on my custom made dance-pop station. So far, my only drawback is Don't Stop Til You Get Enough can NOT stay in the disco station where it needs to be.
But Prince songs are THE most complicated. Glam Slam, Mountains, & Fury are NOT funk songs. But yet, they're play on my custom made funk station?!? Who in the hell at Pandora are mistaking every Prince song as funk?
Opinions please.

I think it was about 3 years ago when I really got into Pandora (along with some of my grad school friends who were also on Facebook and sharing their interest in the station). I discovered some great artists (including Patti Austin) but anytime I try to go on their recently, I tend to listen to my Ipod instead. It is great if you don't have one and want to discover new music.
I guess if you're picky, it makes sense that their genre classifying is not super strong but it never brothered me all that much. I just skip songs OR put them in other stations. I might try it again soon.

I use Pandora and I have never tried to save favorite tracks or whatever. I just let whatever station I've created play.
Last.FM is pretty cool. I've used it quite a bit. I have 24K+ songs in iTunes upstairs on my Mac. I decided to let all 24K+ play, so they all get scrobbled and logged, so if I do play my Last.FM player at random, my library will be there in some regard. I'm up to the N's or O's at this point. I've always wanted to get all my songs played to have them scrobbled, and figured I'd just put the Mac on Mute, and hit play.
Last.FM has an App for iPod Touch, iPad, and iPhone, and Android, and probably other devices. You can stream your library, which makes it a bit cooler than Pandora, in that the more plays you scrobble from your computer, the more your music will be reflected in your Last.FM playlist/station.

slacker.com is way better than Pandora, plus it's easier to add all your favorite artists to your station. I'll never touch pandora again.

Isnt it the BEST!?!? I have found so many rare funk on the site and they even uploaded some rare "The Eight Minutes" from ME playing it so much, they got it on their site.
They also let you upload your own music so that it can be heard by tons of people. Straight Jacket Funk Affair

When I first started using it, on my channels, I just "thumbs up" the songs I wanted to play and "thumbs down" any strays.
Now my channels are custom to what I want, based on my preferences and no strays.
I Pandora!!!
I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.
