What made this verse so hot to me cause i lived by the belt parkway and the conduit growing up in East NY music

For years I used to hear P.M. Dawn's "Set Adrift On Memory Bliss" and wonder why he says, "Christina Applegate You Gotta put me on..." Then I heard this jam, and I went, "ahhh!"
